I coulda done a better job with the editing though! Sorry MTBfreak guys, the quality is dodgy for 4 megs. Better to have 1 good quality vid then 4 low qual shots. WMM2 does a good job, everyone should use it! :P

the pics are pretty ordinary.

i mean, this is a huck. sooo, you want to get an idea of how big it is... I cannot see at all from those photos how big it is. he might as well have bunny hopped

True... people seem to be of the school of thought that "the more bike in the picture the better", but don't seem to realise that to give any idea of speed, height etc you need to show the viewer what the terrain is like, and give some sort of perspective of the size of it.

It is quite often hard to show scale in a big drops. Because the wider the lens you use (bigger feild of view), the less perspective you have and this results in people looking like ants and making things look massive or very far away. But apart from that the photo does not do the drop justice.

The second run on the vid gives a pretty good idea of the scale when you see the dude standing near the tranny, but I bet it's nothing compared to seeing it in person.

It looks like it's across the other side of the road from the DH tracks; is that right? I'll have to scope it out next time I'm in the area.

Believe me, the photos and vid footage do not do this drop any justice grant deserves. i could not beleive how far and high it is whilst looking at it recently and would love to see it in real life (not vid) some time should the opertunity arise..

yeh its across the road from the Car Park at Fox Creek
you should be able to see the wide tranny cut out among the long grass

pics definately give no justice, looks like a hell steep tranny

yeh the tranny is actually relatively steep so you gotta hit it spot on
Grant cased one of his efforst recently leading to a destroyed rim, as the
beginning of the tranny is quite sharp

Hey guys,
Just thought you might like to know that the gap was measured at 65 feet diagonal. I helped grant dig it and the measurement is right. Months of digging went into it and it is frigging huge. Me and a couple of other guys thought about doing it but chickened out (surprise, surprise) The image quality is toned down so the video was easily downloadable so don't blame the MTBFreak guys...they were trying to save you time. I actually filmed all the angles in the video so if ya wanna bag someone...make it me :D My favourite shot is the one standing next to the ramp cos it gives the best idea of distance. Anyway enough rambling
