Hey, next month i am moving to Perth, (right in the CBD). I currently live a few hundred K's from Perth so i ride my own tracks.

But what i want to know is, what are some good places that i can ride around Perth (Downhill). I have raced a few State rounds around Perth, but i want to know where i can ride when ever i want and somewhere that i wont have to seek permission from the land owner before i ride.

So if you Perth riders can please post up the name of the place and approximately how far it is from Perth CBD i will really appreciate it.

Well there is mundaring, gunjin, goatfarm.. within 1 hour of perth.. then there are a few trails at dwellingup... which is a bit further south. and a few others around like wellington mills or something.

Goatfarm you can catch the train up from the city to midland station, and rude along the main road up untill greenmount rise.. turn in there and at the end a road goes into the " mountain bike park".
mundaring downhill is just past fred jackoby park (You can ask the tourist beuro or look on a map to find where that is).. you'll need to drive for that.. (once you get to a round about past fred jackoby park.. you take the right fork and the first like dirt road turn in is the bottom of the trails there.)

I think there are some resources on www.perthmtb.com (ok well it's down at the moment... but should be some info when it's back up.)
