Thredbo DH ????

Hey guys & gals...

Just wondering who of you run thredbo DH & what you reckon of it???,,,how`s the accomodation ???,,,is there a camping ground close by(ish) to park my 4x4 monster truck moble home???...is it worth camping in the truck or are the 5 day camp deals that "Rawnrg" do worth it???...& heaps more ???

any info from anyone who`s been there & done that would be tops.

i`m thinking of a week long trip down there & with maybe 5 or 6 people to share the costs...fuel/food/accomodation etc

looks like a sh!t hot track!!!

I`ve snow ski-ed Perisher/Blue Cow a couple of times ,so i know where to go & how it all works, but i got the trips for free with everything thrown in,,,this time i`m paying :-( & was hoping there was a camping ground close by to save money.

Ok,,,done some homework & camping is free & just down the road from Thredbo (only 7kms away & right on the river)

5 days riding is $253(ish) & only fuel & food on top of that & we`re there.

so far i have 4 maybes,,,Jess dawg, Dj, stew & me...anyone else keen???

would really want only 2 or 3 more to make a full monster truck/mobile home,,,have sink, stove, fridge & hot water shower with 300 litres of water tanks underneath.

approx $100 per person fuel,,,& about $50 for food for the week ,,,plus some spending/drinking money.

easy-peasy,,,i`m ready to go today!!!!!!!!!! ;-)

who can come & when can you go???

ah well...you can`t win them all.

we have 5 people for our trip,,,one more would be cool to help keep costs down,,,lookin like late March or ealy April for a week off & 4 days solid ridin The Cannonball DH... camping just down the road (7kms) from Thredbo, travelling in the 7 seater duel cab Monster truck mobile home with fridge, sink, stove, & even hot water shower.

But,,,no one here is interested???,,,cool then....

I'd be there right now if I didn't have a broken arm! Say hi to all the guides for me! Sorry i din't see this earlier I coulda answers some of the ? u had! Have fun camping, don't forget to hit up the bisty while you're there, pretty much the only bar that's regularly open in the summer! :)

Thanks guys,,,i was wonderin if my posts were actually able to be seen there for a min...

we still havn`t cemented a date yet,,,but we`re narrowing it down...trying to get a handfull of people organised for a DH trip can be more difficult that an army to war.

Ruthlessgirl,,,i can assure you that we`ll be hittin whatever pub/bar/nite club is around :-)

& shauno,,,we might be very late March or very early April so if you`re keen then, give us a holla...we may have someone oull out by then anyways.
