View Full Version : Mt Stuart Downhill Race - 24th February 2007

Took a few photos at the first race on Townsville's new Mount Stuart downhill track. Didn't manage to get photos of everyone as I was fliming at the same time, but to those that I did, here you go. It was a good turnout considering it was the first Downhill race held in Townsville since 2005.

I think 49 riders in total raced with a few from Mackay making the trip up too.

All photos are taken at the drop. Oh and doesnt it look green in old 'Brownsville' for a change. Enjoy.

Awesome day, so much fun. I've been in the er since I left the race which was pretty gay but I still had so much fun today. Nice photo's you got one of me, yay:D .

Give us a break, it was the first race in the ville for years and some of us are a bit rusty or complete noobs.

i wanna see a photo of me losing my shoe on the creek jump (gotta get me some five tens:p )

Duno, this year some time. Not our fault... The Uni and the Environmentals suck. If it wasn't for us holding El Arish races, you guys wouldn't have had anything last year ;) (apart form Mackay :p )

Yeah thats true. Cairns has an a good race season 1 1/2 hours south of Cairns. Its basically Townsville ;)
We were in the same boat with environmentalists, just have to stick it out.
Now we have a track that we can race and hope to see those 10 car loads of Cairns boys...

By the way, I'll be dropping off a disk into Tony's sometime this week which I think will be passed onto the Rockwheelers. It'll have all the videos I took (I actually took more video than photos...). Sorry about the quality of some of the pics guys, my camera doesn't have a 'running man' feature on it, which for the price I paid it bloody should have....

I rode every A-Line and got a 2:18 with a friendly hello to a tree on the bottom of the switchbacks last race, and how the hell am I talking like I'd take you all out?

Do you ride as large as you blab? If so, grow some balls, come down next time an race. Perhaps you wont find your way for all the 'dust' we live in.
