new to dh

i own a 03 stinky i was wondering with a couple of upgrades would this bike be ok to race in sports class division in a dh race.What do other people ride in this division and what upgrades do u think i would need?Its stock at the moment.

You don't need to upgrade anythign to race! You can pritty much ride anything for dh, and a stinky is more than adequete for a sports rider.

you definetly dont need to upgrade anything that bike will be abosolutly
fine for Sport DH racing

one guy here in SA was riding in the Elite Class on an old FSR-XC or something like that

Yeah i know one guy who asbsolutely cuts nasty on his 03 Stinky .. some say factory even heheh :P

Dude .. the stock Stinky03 is more then enough for Sport grade .. .. it's got all you need .. just make sure your head angle is comfortable .. and your happy with the size of it .. get your seat position low for DH .. but high enough to pedal ok

As the others have said you'll be fine on whatever you got, just make sure your bikes all tuned up, brakes runnin good, gears changin good, everything tight. And most important, HAVE FUN!

yeah if uve got those tiogas on there still id get some new tires those things are dangerous IMO
