try using the front brake?
Naa, yank it on unitllur backs wheel ups and ur rolling then u gotta feather it on and of as ur rear wheel rises or falls.
Thats the short of it.
Or u could jsut try practicing ull get it sonn.

for me to get the rear of the bike up i put the brakes on hard and throw my weight forwards then ease of a little and have them constantly on but only enough so the wheel still turns

i put the front on hard and hold it just a tiny bit to keep myself up there, once you get the hang of it,
its easy
Throw your weight forwards a bit and and the the same time apply your brakes (have they bedded in yet? It will be hard doing it without the brakes being bedded in). When you feel your rear wheel rising take a bit of pressure off the lever, when it starts falling a bit put mroe pressure on. Practice on a grassy slope. Don't be affraid to bail, you'll feel when you have gone too far, when that happens just push your legs off the pedals and land on your feet. Remember to let go of the bars aswell. :). Practice makes perfect.
What brakes are you runnin on your AC3?
I try and get my weight as far back as possible, give the brake a quick squeeze to lift the rear up, the combine balance with brake control to keep me up.
for me on a bike with decent brakes, it pedal as fast as i can grab the brake and hope to hell i dont flip,
its all about modulation.....:P
And stay the hell away from the rotor when you start doing big ones. It burns ;)

Turn the front wheel towards the side that your back is kicking out to. Also, try practising em on real steep hills/rollins.

Stand up on the pedals, roll down a hill and jam the front brake. When the saddle hits your arse kick both of your feet off the pedals.... WEEEEE!!!!

I have an AC3 with mechanicals as well; recently also got a Rampage with hydos, and the hydros make a HUGE difference to doing nose manuals/spins. A lot easier, don't have to shift your weight so much, takes some of the need for a really good technique out of it possibly. With the mechs I had to get my position just right or else nothing really happened; with the hydos just snap em on & let them do the work.
BTW; still sh1te at doing them, but getting better with the hydros...

best brakes that i have found for nose wheelies are Shimano XT Hydros, which are actually made by a company called grimeca, who also make some of the SRAM disc brakes. i can easily nose wheelie the whole start ramp at terry hill

go down a small hill ride up to it slowly and then put your front on hard to get you up there, then just keep them on pretty hard and because you are going down a hill you can go for ages you just need to stay really over the front wheel (near the point of flipping) and if you want to finish with a bit of style just swing your back round and land backwards (learn to ride backwards so you down fall off and look like a dumbass)

Dude, my advice would be to find a park with short, dry grass, not necessarily a downhill slope. Pedal at moderate speed and sharply (but not too sharply!) apply the front brake to pull your rear wheel off the ground shifting your weight behind the seat in the process. Lock your elbows, concentrate on keeping the front wheel going straight and keep your weight centred. I like to stop the rear wheel from spinning as soon as it leaves the ground. Start small and practise heaps pulling harder on the brakes and going faster as you improve. The modulating capabilities of your lever and caliper and the size of your aggots will dictate how easy it'll be for you to improve. Have fun!

Sit on the bike backwards, grab the bars with your butt to steer, and just pretend you're doing a manual...easy.

Honestly what person cant do an endo? Shove on front brakes, maintain weight in center to balance....
