You need to 1st put some more effort into your posts (no sms/msn talk on the forums, it doesn't really bother me, but rules is rules);
And 2nd, put some effort into figuring out what bike works for you (or wheel size), orginise to meet up with some people or goto a shop and ride a 20" and 26", see what you prefer. 20" will be easier to learn on for starters.
I reccomend Echo, they sell relitively nice frames, but the bonus is they're nice and cheap, I dont have exact figures, but goto Google and have a search; They also make a full range of components for cheap, too.

try finding some riders and checking out their bikes. most people will let you have a go to expand the community. Where do you live? there might be someone in your area

Well, im from sydney and am yet to find a shop that actually has or even knows what a trial bike is, but i have found a site that will supply echo, zoo, adamant etc, there still updating there site so i assume there fairly new. They have made up packages and if you just wanna buy single parts, they do that as well, prices are best ive seen so far, link is : http://www.trialshive.com/
For my self i plan on getting into trials, im gona go for the echo control-stock 26" to start off with, im currently emailing the bloke to ask what parts he puts on for the $1499 price tag.

Woot! My bike should be coming in a week or so. Ordered a Echo Control-Stock 26" (short frame) with the standard echo back rim brakes, which ive been told are magura's just with echo's name slapped on them. Hope mono front disc brakes and Maxxis High Roller tires, the components will be black.
Im not too concerned about upgrading the rest of the parts as of yet, because im just starting out. But as things start to break ill upgrade. All that came to $1498 plus shipping.
Cant wait, been practicing with my Norco Six 2 in the mean time, but i better take it easy, its not made for it. I can already balance along the gutter edge and do wheelie drops off any walls i can get on, working on my trackstands, wheelies, stoppies and just barely doing little pedal hops. I recommend for anyone starting out to get Mastering the Art of Trials by Ryan Leech, its helping me alot.
And yeah , that would be awesome to walk into a shop with Trial Bikes hanging up :)

What are you riding now? As SpeedRush said you can get away with the basics on a standard MTB (ie) trackstands, wheelie drops, pedal kicks ect whilst you are looking for a bike. That way when you pick one up you can actually give it a decent test ride.
Alot of people dont realise you dont need a trials bike to do trials moves, they just make it easier and you can go waaaaayyyyy bigger on one.
I wish I had a trials bike :(
