View Full Version : who is the biggest sandbagger?
Who is the biggest sandbagger?, the guy who always wins sporties and wont go up a grade (traditional sandbagger) or the guy who always comes last in a category and wont go down (reverse sandbagger)

Blacky you should so race a grade. People respect guys that came 30th in a grade more than a top ten in vets plus once your in vets your an official old guy.

I'd go A grade/elite, cause if you di qualify in top 30 you'll get another run, if not you can compare times to see how you would have done in vets anyway
apparently we're all huffy owners until some proper avatars get done
where can i get that tai lee maxlow pic of the tree crash?
that would make for some funny avatar action

DIG DIG DIG. So who is the biggest sandbagger on farkin? Thats right norcorider2 Beat you to it
I race sport but Its not like I ever win. Hah
I've heard some storys over time and it seems the NSW dh series seems to be leading in terms of sanbaggers. In most dh rounds the guy who wins sport always seems to get top 5 or so in expert.
I remember hearing something about coffs, didnt someone get booed off the podium or something?

thats the problem, this thread is most likly older then those.. its just that those went through a tiem machine to see how the ancienct MTBers woudl react to those topics.. then the people who sent them back in time realised that people from that era didnt have comptuers to access farkin, and the mission was aborted.

Yes, apparently the guy always wins sport? Knew he was going to win at Coffs. His mates bagged him pretty hard, good for a laugh but not so good for the sport.

Arh crap beaten to it again. Having a crap day today
There is a simple answer to the question, "Who is the biggest sandbagger?" the answer is "Mazzer". Failing that, the answer is "Udi".
Mazzer is the one who won Sporties at Coffs. To get the facts straigh; he's actually never won a race before that in his life and is on his way back from some pretty serious injuries of the "he nearly died from them" kind. Still doesn't mean that he can't be mercilessly abused on the podium though. Search his name and check his custom title as well. He promises he's coming back up to Expert from now on.

Mazzer............sand bagger..........4 year old thread...........I'm amazed at how long poor old MAz has been filling the bags!
Credit where it is due, MMazzer did a nice clean run and won it fair and square. He also promised me that he'll be racing elite from now on.;) From sporty to elite........good move Maz!:p

sandbagging although very much a problem in the sport category also occurs in the expert class too, so lets not forget them!
If you know your quick move up a class, although the guy (mazza) who won at coffs deservedly copped a booing, props to him for going up to a more appropriate class. Hopefully other sandbaggers will follow his example. Give the slower guys some hope! Its not so much fun going to a race knowing youll never go well because of sandbaggers!

I think simply either sport or expert needs to be axed.
Problem solved.

It does give you a reason to try that little bit harder though.
In some areas of the world, sandbaggers are paid to stay in that category to win and claim the prizes that they in turn hand back to the race organisers so they don't lose too much profit............

Makes no sense.
The payment for the rider has to be greater than the prize on offer, otherwise the rider would simply take the prize for winning, not the payment. Unless the prize is not cash.
If I knew I could win it, I would only agree to do this if the payment to me was greater than the prize. Thus the club is going to lose money.
