OK I have got a set of ust mavic tubeless rims what is the best all rounder tire out there? MAXXIS UST is what I was looking at but don't know what the best for loose to hard packed soil/ gravel Daisy hill area?

Hard packed soil?

It's gotta be the Larsen TT... Brilliant tyre. I've started using them to commute instead of my slicks, they roll almost as well.

I haven't ridden the UST version but the tread pattern is the same.

yeah, larsen tt or conti explorers are awesome, especially for hard pack/gravel and both roll very fast. you'd probably get the larsen's though, they're way cheaper.

SImple... Dont use ust tyers at all. Regular "proformance" tires weight about 400g to 500g; tubeless weigh in at roughly 600g to 700g...

Just use regular tyers in whatever pattern you want, and use goo such as stans or whatever. That way you save a ton of weight (no tubes, lighter tyers), and there are alot more tread patterns available in std tyers than tubles, not to mention they cost less 8)

I agree find a nice normal tyre mount it and add some Stans no tubes or a 1:1 latex/water mix. Lquid latex can be bought from your local costume shop for about $15 per 500ml.

Always go with normal tubes and a conversion, the Michelin Hot-S 2.1 is absolutely the best cornering tyre i have ever ridden in pea-gravel, yet for a mud tyre i would suggest the MAXXIS High Roller.

I have gone with the larsen tt tubeless. May as well run them as they where intended to do.
