the camera is a pentax Optio 230, it's a little 2 megapixel digital camera, i think they retail for about $500, it takes a bit of messing about to find a good angle where it can focus fast enough, i found that stright on and about 45 degress to the subject is good compered to trying to shot someone wizzing past you.

Dom, what do you reckon the chances of us leaving here @ 9:30 are?

DOM

Regan will kick my ass.

but 9:30 it is ..
9:30 - 10 .. hopefully im sober enough to drive to your joint the next day.

Hey guys - got pointed here by a mate and stumbled across this thread - lo and behold, beenleigh!

I dont ride MTB but I do BMX and have ridden at Beenleigh a few times:-

A few snaps from the driveway (just a no-footer of the second set)
Beenleigh Driveway Shots (http://www.members.optushome.com.au/jmarton/Pictures/BeenyDirt(driveway%20shots).jpg)

Where my mate and I used to ride and practice (not very big):-

My mate grabbed a nice snap of me pullin a 'nothing' rode this one away safely.

Haven't ridden dirt in ages, but just before we quit we were doing 360's etc. and attempting 360 tailwhips :)

hardtail free rider, those jumps used to be near the "blue nurses" in bardon, we just call them ashgrove, the whole area is screwed now, we sorted out all this new dirt and they guy said it would be 'clean' fill but we got like 50 tons of tiles and old toilets and a little bit of dirt. so we gave up on the jumps there, worth on the street is that they (the council) are going to level the place and start again.

When were those taken?
It looks alot different since the last time I rode there (quite awhile ago).

The middle one with the barrel in it was a double last I saw - wasn't filled in.

I should fix my forks and go riding there again :)

But I haven't ridden dirt for almost a year, be a bit rusty :)

Those same trails again.
Never did snap any pics of 360's (what's the point :P ) or me mate tryin 360 tailwhip attempts :)

Oh yeah, the reason I haven't ridden dirt in so long was bending my forks from hard landings off 360's (tendency to nose first a little too much) - they copped a beating for a few years doing that though :)
Never got around to forking out $200 for a decent pair (I think I might do a bit of overtime at work and fix em if those local jumps are lookin good again).

Ty

those pics were taken mid last year, the biggish jump is now a real double again (minus the drums as of 3 weeks ago)

Loki

So have they been taken care of?
Because my mate and I quit going there since we were the only ones maintaining them (as best we could) - and there wasn't enough room to build bigger jumps, they were way too small, and to dig them all out was impossible because they are sun-crusted in there :)

If you guys wanna build em up with us, we'd be in for it :)

But your pics they seem to be in a fair bit better condition (and new ones).
The straight needs some real work..
Maybe cut it from 6 (from memory) jumps down to 2-3 far bigger ones?
