Has anyone removed decent sized dings from road rims successfully?
Due to poor road signalling on a bunch ride on the weekend I managed to ding my rear wheel in a big way. Has anyone ever bent the wall back without damaging the braking surface and in such a way you can't tell when braking?? Rim is an American Classic 420. Any tips would be good as I have nothing to lose!

Nup .... I met a pot hole at Milsons Pt nice and hard, blew the tyre and deformed the rim on a DT Swiss RR1.1

The nice bloke in the bike shop down south in the Shire advised it would never be the same again ......

Photo? If it's bigenough to be noticiable it's prolly best to replace it. With the fatigue road rims get it may eventually fail catastrophically some time when you're out riding if you try to bend it back.

Post us up a photo if you have one and it'd be easier to give a more solid judgement.
