That's the sort of thing I like to hear. I recomend starting heckling at one of the decents for the first few laps, before moving onto the climb for the last few. Be nice to the ladies, the blokes are fair game :p.

I've been told the track is ready to go, the snags have been picked up and the beer is cooling.
Weather looks good perfect for racing & heckling

Thanks Rob, a great day out. The track was as challenging as ever, and the beer was sweet!

The 'cross race was so much fun. Too bad I was too hammered to get back on "the bunch" after the dropped chain. Two wheel drifting on the drops as you launched back on to the back road section, I think I was hitting that faster and faster each lap.
Race in the morning with the single speeds was a hoot too, nearly passing crosser back before pssst.... front tyre goes flat. I was in some ways relieved that my spare tube went walk abouts in the 2nd race too, 'cause I was just starting to reach the point where well, things were starting to hurt...
It's official though, barriers on run up's suck... but there were worse ways to spend your sunday arvo really than sitting in the sun with a sausage sanger and cold beer after just smashing yourself silly for 35-40mins... :)
top day out all round really :)
Cheers

Cheers guys glad you had fun, especially after I made the SSers have a traditional SS start.
Pauli was crowned Sydney Single Speed Champion of the Universe, narrowly holding out tjb.
tjb got some back when he won his first CX race in the arvo. He'd obviously been studying World-Cup & Superprestige series videos on You-tube, calling for the attack when the SpoonBoy dropped his chain. In the end it was the decisive move with him being able to drop Ray with a couple of laps to go and SpoonBoy never catching on to the lead group
In A grade Pez smashed out some amazing lap times and was very glad he brought the 575. I'm pretty sure his 14:11 is faster than what we saw at the NSW State round earlier in the the year.
Full results and pics tomorrow.

Hmmm, I think I have found the perfect recovery drink. Chimay Blue. One bottle, and all bumps, scratches, pains or concerns just melt away ;) I'm only very slightly concerned I managed to race in the 2 races where beer was prize!
