Hey,
I was heading up to Cootha on the weekend, and i was wondering if it was worth going or find somewhere else(For a little DH)?
Thanks,
Charlie
bronwyns DH

Personally I wouldn't bother riding Bronwyn's on your V10. Bronwyns could not be defined as a DH track and I don't know where the DH part came into the name. In saying that it is still a very fun track but probably more suited to a smaller travel/hardtail bike. If you are in search of some trails more DH orientated that suit the V10, I would look to some other DH trails further away from Brisbane, if you don't mind the drive Toowoomba has a couple.

Yeh i don't mind the drive except i just want to have a day of mucking around get the feel of the bike.

Yeah I would go for a ride at Gap Creek if I was you. So you are the lucky guy who scored Cam's V10?

There's the ol' faithfull Bronwyns but there's also the top of Rocket Frog, ride up blast down, or ride up to the top when you get there, go further up the hill to the right when you get to the top you'll see a track - BLAST DOWN THAT SUCKA

Brownyens is the most Downhill sort of track in brisbane, its got jumps, and other stunts on it, I have a blast of fun smashing it on my 9inch travel huck machine.

You've got to be kidding. That is incredibly dull on a hardtail. I would fall asleep riding that on a V10.

which one is rocket frog? I like all the singletracks there, gotta say the new track Dingo rocks the hardest, because of the vertical descent.

Agreed, except for the dickheads that cannot ride the top rock gardens, so instead of walking 5 metres have made side lines.

Where is Dingo? I have heard it is good but I can't find it on any maps?

Dingo trail is the one I was talking about. It's awesome.
it could  be the one that starts on the junction of dillon rd and highwood rd that is the only new track at gap creek that i can think of apart from the new links to lantana. i could be wrong as i have never riden it but its the only one i can think of. am i right or am i completly off??????

You are completely wrong.

Hi guys,
Some interesting opinions of the trails at Mt Coot-tha (which includes the Gap Creek area). I would like to take this opportunity to remind you to not forget to ride with respect for the trails and other users. All the trails are two way. Riders travelling in a downhill direction are to give way to riders who are riding up hill. Please stay on the trail if you can't ride a section get off and walk it.
Cheers
Oppy
PS There is nothing at Mt Coot-tha you need a V-10 for.

We never said we were going to break the rules,
Ps I ride a v10 because i own one, and don't you think i already knew that as i said in a earlyer post "Just going to muck around and get a feel for the bike"
Charlie.
Take that as 'you' in a collective sense rather than you specifically as an individual chuck.
It was a reminder for those "smashing it on my 9inch travel huck machine" and who "BLAST DOWN THAT SUCKA".

"BLAST DOWN THAT SUCKA".
You can still blast down it, there's nothing saying you can't go fast. just be considerate ;)
Hey Oppy, where is that wall to hit your head against when you need it?

Oppy, that rockgarden, you might want to Warn people about that. What with the step up on the apex, or close to it. I found it fun, but did get off it and walk on my first try.
Do you suggest a sign should be put up because it is a bit difficult?
Don't riders look further ahead than their front wheel?

There's already a "B" line up there.
I saw it well before I got there, but then I tend to look atleast 10 meters ahead of my front wheel, might have something to do with the fact that looking where you want to be, normally puts you there, but what do I know.
Or, you could open your eyes and look at the trail ahead of you...

Just like you displayed all 3 of the above at the Dusk till Dawn? Why did you crash again. If your looking far enough ahead, how can you find yourself in an inappropriate situation at all.
You are truly a muppet

I says it is you that is TRUELY A WORLD CHAMPION FUCKASS!
Was my First Night ride.
Was my First Race.
Was my First Time at the track.
You think you know me?

So where'd you place in the Dusk till Dawn?
Why are you so hung about where I finished, because it will give more credence to your pathetic little rant. You fucked up then, and your fucking up now by continuing to open your mouth, do you want to keep going and make yourself look more like the muppet your coming across as?
Our team finished 3rd. I guess that means I do have some idea how to ride a bike after all...

We were top ten, outright, that means of all the teams that entered, just to be clear for you.
Why do you know feel the need to regulate your posts? Can't you make a comment and stand by it?

Yeah - sorry about that.
I give up. Not being skilled, or cool, I should just shut up and move one.

The problem probably is that Sunday might not be a work day for Oppy. Good idea though, it might mix up the group abit and get some of the young fellas that work at Coles etc on Saturday mornings a chance to do some work.
Muppet, in your post back a page or two you mentioned the B-Line. THERE IS NO B-LINE on that track. Please discourage others from riding or making it. If you see someone ride it, explain they shouldn't.

That is what I was saying, so why would you then suggest a warning sign is needed?
And as far as the illegal B line goes, then I agree with what Andy posted above.

Last time, first time I was up there was the other night on a night ride. Look like the start of a "B" line to me, but, as proven earlier in this thread, what do I know.
On that, I actually saw someone riding straight up "possum box" today not following the track. I asked them not to do that and was told to "keep my opinions to myself and go away."
I crash alot, a great deal acutally, but at least I A line what's in the trail evertime..

Currently discussing November 25th instead of or maybe as well as Saturday 24th November. Keep an eye on http://trailcareinseq.iforumer.com for the details.

Yep, that Bronwyns trail is super hardcore.
It took almost everything I had to be able to get through it on my fully rigid SS 29er.
Had to dab once or twice though.
V10 would have sorted that out.

Rekon we could set up a mini election booth on the trail so people don't have to rush off to vote during the day?
