g'day
i was just wondering which bike should i get out of the 08 se dj flyer or the 08 norco ryde.

i am pretty small, so i was also lookong for the lighter one.

i like the look of both bikes but i've hear that the ryde has a heavy frame. i personally prefer the SE but i just want to see you opinions.

becuase i can only spend $1200 i was wondering if i should spend the extra and get the SE or just get the ryde

if anyone else has got suggstions on any other bikes it would be much appreciation.

cheers, josh

If you want some help perhaps take some time to post up a spec list or some geometry and what not.

The norco Ryde has a great spec and is at a great price. I've never heard of an SC dj flyer

hey
personally i like the SE dj flyer better.
but one of my friends who works at a bike shop told me that the se cranks are bent and even when you get them swapped over they are still bent.

I beg to differ...

The SE DJ flyer is a good basis, but the Ryde is just pure value for money.

I bought a brand new 2007 SE Wildman BMX and from standard, it had one bent crank and ruptured bearing. I don't know if this was through mis-handling, but they seemed butter weak to me.

My opinion, get the ryde, that's what I'd be doing with $1200.

both bikes have good specs and look good. the norco ryde i suggest would be better as i have never herd of this other brand.

also if you are only spending $1200, look into the 2008 specialized P1. A mate of mine has got the 07 model and the ride really nicely. another guy i know is about the get the 08 one. they are really good value for money. thats my suggestion

Well i am the proud new owner of an 08 Norco Ryde as of today and i had a session already and it is unbelievable. It handled the local DJ's perfectly.

$1200 of sexytime

the crank problem was only on the 07 models and they were all replaced before they were sold.

all you have to do is remove the BB re grease the thread and put them back in and tighten them up

cheers

I got my new Ryde last week and its sick and real natural for me, the frame also just feels like it can take abuse.
I'd recomend it and with the horizontal dropouts its easy to turn SS (thats what i did)

Cheers

the se dj flyers do ride fairly well if you can get the short frame the manual really easily and have decent parts apart from the cranks like was said before replce them with profiles or the like and it would be a sweet bike and i personaaly think the colour scheme on them is sick.

if they were a bit cheaper they would be well worth it.
i'm thinking of getting one from work. i work at goldcross cycles and we sell them so i can get it fair cheap.

hey mate.

firstly, you have no hope of getting an 08 ryde anytime soon because all Australian stock has sold out. i went to buy one a month ago and i had to buy the last 08 125 because they had no rydes left.

norco only aallocate a certain number to Australia. and all new shipments are already on back stock.

so id go the dj flyer:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D

whatever you choose...

RIDE HER HARD!
