Hey guys and gals.

I am looking at getting a short travel dualie for a bit of freeriding, alot of dirt jumping and the odd downhill. I have decided on the kona bass (theres a link below), now what I want to know is can the rear shock be tuned in such a way that it becomes really stiff and will just pick up the big hits and also what are short travel bikes like to ride on jumps.

Help will be greatly appreciated.

Its an air shock so making it stiffer is as simple as putting more air into the shock.

Okey dokey. So I would need a special shock pump for this, im guessing.

You would indeed, you would need a shock pump, one capable of very small volume but high pressure (about 250 psi).
