hello,
i have a raceline extreme pro and i'm thinking about downgrading to a hardtail. i want to get a specialized p.3, will my rock shox boxxer race and all my other components swap straight over.

a mate of mine said i'd need new forks.

if its got triple clamp forks on the hardtail it will put to much stress on the head tube the p.3 frame is recommended to have a max of 140mm

o.k, do u know if there are any other hardtail frames that can have triple clamps?

norco sasquatch and above (manik, rampage and the now non-production torrent) can all take triple clamps, there is a nicolai HT that can take triples. look around, just make sure that you stick between hte recommended travel range on HTs

i don't know why you'd bother really. triples are beefy and can be confidence-inspiring, but a decent set of adjustable (not all that necessary, but helpful), long travel single crowns would suit better.
