Your biggest hop

What's your biggest bunny hop? and a photo to accompany would be great.

At a guess I'd say it's about 60cm (no idea). I know I can do bigger but don't have any other photos.

I really dont see how people can hop so high??
I try but at best i can only get like two gutters worth lol.
I used to do them pull up with my hands and kick the back up with my feet..
After watching tricktionary they say its better to use just your hands to pull up then push forward, it worked and its easier but im not getting any higher.
Even when i yank like a b**** I get basically the same result.
How do you guys do it?

i can hop 4 stairs and yea i do the way where you pull up with your hands and then push the front forward it's way better and easier :)

I've hopped up 5 stairs. Usually around the 60-70cm mark.

I made a little high jump thingy with a stick that falls off when you hit it. Great for practice... Got to 500mm ....trying for 600 but I haven't got there yet:p

3 stairs is easy i bunny hopped onto a seat on the side of the footpath that is my best

I could hop onto a 3ft ledge on my BMX at one stage, but it was more of a nose to up/pedal up than a pure bunnyhop. I can hop over something a little over wheel height. I can't bunnyhop anything on my trials bike yet :eek:

I can hop 3 or 4 stairs easily, and anything up to about bar height by trials-ing up. (Front wheel up, pause, surge up.)

my normally reference is being able to bunny to manual 3 stair and comfortable hop 4 (on bmx, minus 1 step for the big bike).

Hopped nearly 2ft on a bmx once, though that was a massive fluke. Never did it again.. i can only do about 1 ft to 1.5 ft on my mtb. i think thats about2 stairs to 3 ish :o

mine would be only about 40cms,not a big bunnyhopper it just gets things out if the way. bunny hopping up to flat, is probably easier because there is less of a risk of nose diving, am i right??

Yep very right. Hopping onto things is a LOT easier than over things. Hell, if you can get your front wheel onto something you can hop onto it, it's a different story hopping over things though.

I can do about 60cm high, my mate is a freak and can do about 80-90cm, if he didnt have a CrMo p2 he could easy do 1 metre.

How far can people hop in length? I can do 12 feet last time i tried, about 15 now if i tried.

very right. i tried to hop over a horizontal pole in a gravel car park. what i didnt notice was that is was off lose down sloping gravel:mad: and i nose cased it bigtime, fell onto my handle bars, rear wheel cased it then hit the ground in a sore embarrassed mess.:p

apart from that close to 70cm on flat.:cool:

yes... momentum is your friend :)

The faster your going the further back your going to have to start your hop. I usually approach at the same speed for most hops and thats a pretty steady pace. I can't really tell you the optimum speed and time to lift your front wheel. Just get out there and practice and you'll find what's right for you.

I can only bunny hop about a foot and a half on a good one on my downhill, but distance depends how fast your going... If i was going 300km/h I could bunny hop about 50 metres =]

not me but i've seen tim wood bunnyhop almost a METER high dunno wether thats high for you i couldn't do that
