The Australian Open of Mountain Biking (incorporating Round #3 of MTBA’s National Series) this year includes the flowing races within the 11 day long event held between Friday 7th of December and Sunday the 16th of December in Thredbo NSW:

* Hill Climb
* XCO (Cross Country Olympic Distance)
* XCC (Cross Country Short Course)
* Pro Rider Clinics
* Skid Comp
* Wheelie Comp
* Go – to – Whoa!
* Tyre Change Challenge
* Mega D (Mass Start Downhill with some climbing)
* Mountain Cross
* Dual Slalom
* Downhill

All races are Open to anyone wishing to “have – a – go”.

Our downhill event is always the most popular outside the National Championships due to our chairlift providing more practice runs than any other event and therefore our entry fees provide the best value for gravity athletes.

Industry members are encouraged to set up displays and technical support for free in the event expo area. This means we are not charging those who support the riders attending our event we feel this adds considerably to the event atmosphere and quality overall.

During the winter season we worked hard to attract major sponsors and have successfully signed SHIMANO to support the interschool mountain bike championship events, how ever we don’t not have much support for the Australian Open of Mountain Biking at this stage.

We would like to give the opportunity to ANY companies or organisations to support this fantastic event.

You can provide as much or as little support as you like…

Be creative, work with us to gain the best exposure for your products!

Exposure will be based on the amount and type of support you are able to offer.

Our goal is to produce the best Mountain Bike Events possible, and we would like to work with the companies that benefit from the growth of mountain biking to continue to improve the quality and value of our events.

The long term future of the event is very bright and early indications are for a huge turn out.

Please call Tim Chadd at the Raw NRG office to discuss any of this further or make any comments.
