Hey, new to the dirt jumping scene, and just wondering, what would be a good place for me to start. As to say, what would be a good bike to get me started.
I'm currently looking at the norco 125, rival, giant stp 1, and here at Farkin an 04 DBR.
Any tips and advice would be awesome.
Cheers.:D

Ther Norco 125 and 4Hun bikes are the best in my eyes. I've ridden a 4Hun and have since purchased a Ryde. They are easy to manual, lightweight (Yes i know it's a norco) and i think it's just about the perfect learners bike.
When looking at Norco 125's and rydes etc. check for cracks around headstem area and bb shell area.

ignore the diamond back
ive also heard that norcos seat tube angle is too slack for jumping and learning tricks like suicide no handers where you have to pinch the seat.
i recommend a specialized p2 or p2 cromo all the way. reasonable weight, good geo... small and easy to throw around

2008 Norco 250, they look awesome and single speed is definatley the way to go for dirt jumps.

Norco Two50 08's are sold out until Febuary/March.
You could but down a deposit on one and wait or look at something that's SS and cromo.
id go for one of the p. series bikes by specialised...they are top quality bikes and quite rare...and the new speck is sick:)

Alrighty, cheers for feedback.
At the moment, looking at the 08 rival, although some say not a good choice. reasons?
How much are the 125s, and what speed and forks are on the 125?
Also, would the rival be good for possibly a bit of trail riding, dirt jumping and maybe XC? If not, what would be a good XC?
