Okay, i live in lindfield (north shore) of Sydney. im going to be putting my bike in for its first service, but im not sure of which bike shop to take it too.
i dont really want to travel out to mortdale to put it in, despite TBSM's excellent service and reputation. i would prefer somewhere local eg: Northside Avanti Plus (chatswood) but after that recent thread, i dont wanna be fucked around with for weeks.
so if anyone could recommend a good LBS, quite close to me that would be worth putting my bike into.
if it helps i need my rear derallier and shifters serviced/possibly changed. and i need my brakes bled and the bolt in my seat post/seat removed (because its bent/cracked) and then changed.

bike addiction is at manly they are good from what i hear and i think there is another round there somewhere aswell not sure someone will know
but if you are ever in the sutherland shire menai more precicely go to bike culture excelent service and a bunch of great guys that know there stuff and only a small business so you know you will get quality;)
Checkout SIC (st ives cycles), not too far away, a good shop. Plenty of good shops further on towards the beaches, BA as mentioned above, Supreme Cycles, Manly Cycles etc
I take my bike to Hornsby Cycles. Always seem friendly and quick enough service.
Probably a 20min drive from Lindfield so not TOO far.

Sounds to me that this is North side Avanti Plus's forte and you wouldn't even have to ask them to do it :)
Bicycle Addiction are meant to be good.

hey guys, thanks for all the posts. i know of and where each of these bike shops are, but yeh i was only asking for who people would recommend. ive come to the conclusion that it might have to be BA or possibly the Bike Factory Brookvale (my friend recommended them to me).
if anyone has any further suggestions please feel free to post.

Hey mate, also check out Belrose cycles as well , near Oxford Falls. I have dropped my DH bike in there a couple of times in emergency situations and they have been great. They stock some good stuff as well. they mentioned to me that if I didnt want to go to TBSM they will match their prices.
Other than that Bike addiction I guess...

I'd recommend SIC (St Ives Cycles) i've been going there for about 4 years and the service and advice is always really good. Its probably the closest to lindfield as well, although i believe there is a decent one in chatswood as well.
