Hi all,

Basically, our school was meant to be competing with Riverview and Knox this weekend at Homebush 4x track, for the private little comp we have going for MTB's between our schools(Mainly cross country and Road). But the Teacher who heads cycling has changed our 4x race day at Homebush to a Cross Country "funride".

So I am basically trying to see if anyone knows of road/cross country trails or anything similar out in that area. Just so that us bigger boys can have some well deserved fun:)

Thanks!

Kane

I don't know any proper trails which you could race on, but there is:

Wisemans
Great North Walk
+ local reserves

you lucky bastard!, you get to ride for school sport!
that must go down so well...
I wish my school did that. we could do dh races down Mt Gravatt(I go to mt Gravatt high),

but there would be costs and stuff and like 3 people ride at my school so that sucks as well.

Nick, it doesn't really need to be for racing. It's just somewhere for the younger kids to ride while the rest of us hit the jumps track. Just a small cross country track nearby or something.

You can just ride around olympic parklands and into bicentennial, more tarmac than off road but it's ok for just a poot around. If you were doing proper XC there's not much at all within about 30 mins drive from the homebush 4X track. Closest i can think of that's any good is Yellowmundee or RNP, and they're both at least 45 mins from there.

I did that ride, its really fun and just relaxing. Its all flat, so its not going to be a challenge for anyone, but its just one of those scenic rides you do just for fun.

Cheer's mate. I was hopin there was something like that out there. Most of the kids are still young so there is no need for proper XC.

wasnt the track destroyed?

Top section of tracks destroyed by something alot bigger then a bike but the section after the road wasnt touched. Or at least it wasnt when I went there after the fires in which it was bulldozed
