Just had a look on the santacruz site at the minnar report and noticed there was no vp free on there. The new v10's there and even when the new models where being built the old v10 frame was still shown. Can anyone explain?

I think this explains a bit...

*Important note: We are sold out of all VP-Free frames right now through the rest of the 2007 season. Next available production batch will be the 2008 model expected mid 2008. You may be able to find a 2007 VP-Free in stock at a dealer now, but there will be no more new orders being accepted through our Sales Dept for the remainder of the 2007 season.

think ---Matt--- cleared that one up. Would be such a shame if they ceased production.

I sent em a few idea's a while back. Wonder if they will use any of em. Will be stoked if they do. Wish two step totems were around when I built my last one, perfect fork for that bike and the way I use it.

Internet rumours say that it will be lighter but tougher  and have a travel option (7-8") via a replaceable upper link or maybe an option of 2.5 or 2.75 stroke shock.

Also the rear triangle will be shortened up and a head angle change of 1deg.

Oh yeah.....made in Taiwan, cheaper.....doubt it. :(

May see a prototype raced at Sea Otter in April.
