Sun Double Wides, Mavic 721s, Mavic 729s, and Atomlab Trailpimps would have to be at the top of my list.
As for hubs, ya can't go past Hadley's or my fav the Hope Big'un.
Seismic hubs are apparetly uber strong, but most probably overkill.

he didnt specify what size so i think a 20" trail pimp with 48 spokes would be close to the strongest wheel you could buy.... :D

Hugi Freeride hub 12mm thru axle(which with the appropriate axle mods can fit in the 243 dropouts without voiding warranty) sappim race spokes, and atomlab rim...
thats my wheel, but imo also one of the strongest :)

Skyway Tuffs! nylon, unbuckles in the freezer! :)

on a serious note tho, try some arrow racing rims, Halos, doubletracks/wides, or a PX bmf.

Sun MODO's!!! Those things are the only rim that is really a bullit proof rim. I Might buy mine back and build up a spare rim out of it. But dude, dead set, Get you hands on some double tracks, double wides or Trail pimps. Or MODO's if you can find em. Granted, they weigh a fuckin ton, you wont have any problems with it breaking. Whos had experience with Atomlab DHR's?

I've found that running the right tyres, tubs & pressure has resulted in less rim carnage for me. I used to buckle my sun ditch witches regularly but since changing to better tyres etc the problem went away.

I have a set of Mavic 219's which have seen a heap of rock gardens & drops but have stayed fairly straight. I now have a Intense mage 30 and sun double wide so we'll see how they go - don't expect any probs.

I mainly use Maxxis downhill tyres (usually minions or mobsters or highrollers all soft compounds) and those green hutchinson tubes running at about 20 psi.

My Bro has a set of 321's on a bullit and they have stayed pretty straight.
