Get a camelbak thats made to hold them. I have one and it rocks! Pretty stupid but just for pushing up a hill...

You can also put it over your seat if you're pushing up. If you're riding up it may get a little uncomfortable (ha,ha).

Just put the helmet over the seat as if it were your head. Have it facing the front of the bike and the nose of the seat poking out of where your goggles would be. It should then sit there while you push up. This may not work with all helmets/bikes.

Hope this helps, Shorerider.

Ummmm... yeah, just get a good camelback or something similar, thats what I would use, of course I would just leave my helmet on my head since I find that if I take it off I just sweat heaps more and then when I put it back on it feels all soggy.

You should go and waste a good $80 on an Oggio Helmet Bag (http://www.fortheriders.com/store/product.php?productid=790&cat=111&page=1) from For The Riders. :p

I wonder if they have actually moved any of that stock?

just clip it to one of your belt holes on your shorts, backpack, top tube etc

Nepalese Sherpas are usually a cheap and efficient way of carrying gear up a hill...

hang them over your bars

I smashed the s@#$ out of my last helmet on my tripleclamps from hanging it over the bars. that is pretty much the reason i posted this thread, to get some new ideas of how to have it.

some good ideas so far though

hmm i have an idea is your helmet head shaped?

if it is it might actually fit on top of your head im not sure though maybe the local bike shop could be more of a help.

How on earth can you smash your helmet from hanging it from your bars when pushing up a hill. My goodness.

Wasn't going to post but that's fukn stupid.
Gotta be joking.. you made a thread on ideas to carry a helmet up a hill?

Farrknhell. use your brain? I'm pretty sure it's not that bad as in getting bruises or cuts from carrying it the "wrong way"?

Hire an escort if it's that hard to either find a way to carry it up there or too physically demading!

 WOW this is an interesting thread... Usually it takes brains and test tubes to work this stuff out.. I was going to say your an STP owner, but then you said triple clamps so your a norco manik owner.. All newby owners own them, and obviously your so new you have to ask people how to hold a helmet
If you really would like a good idea, i just hang my helmet over my seat works a treat..

Maybe in future before posting stupid question threads have a quick think about some different options ;)

I find it works best on my knee. But only when my knee is bent, otherwise it falls off. It's inconvienient, but it sure beats carrying it.

Perhaps you should contemplate not even wearing a helmet since there's probably not much to lose if you were to bump your head.
