Help with public transport Syd to Thredbo

I am planning a trip 30th Dec to 5th Jan in Thredders. Strangely I've spent much time on the net trying to find transport to no avail. Even RawNRG in Thredbo couldn't help!

From what I've gathered, I need to train it from Sydney to Canberra which is easy. What's the go from there? All the coach and bus companies I've found are winter-only. Can anyone tell me a summer bus option that will get me to Thredbo Village?

Wow, I got to tell you mate. I'll be really surprised if there is any public/private transport to Thredders in the Summer. It hink you'll have more of a chance if you simply ride there, TBH.

Edit: Looks like it's just a bus for school days only, which the new year period isn't

To get to Canberra take the Murray's express coach, it's cheap ($28 conc) and faster than the train

From there, i have no idea. Maybe get a few mates together and charter a minibus?

Sounds like I'm hitch hiking! The old license is 'on hold', as the officer didn't see the funny side of a wheelie on my motorbike.....

That's a great idea. Well if anyone reading this thread is driving down and is thirsty, name your beer and travel dates! Will obviously be happy to split the fuel.
