Just caught the story below and I have to say it's put me on a bit of a downer. Evel was a bit of a hero of mine when I was a wee nipper. He inspired a whole generation of kids to build little wooden ramps and jump over all manner of objects and his reckless disregard for his own body parts gave birth to the cult of The Stuntman , inspiring everything from the Crusty Demons to Jackass. The man was an icon of his times as much as Steve McQueen, Bruce Lee and Elvis.

I'll be sure to have a drink for him tonight. And if I end up in casualty through some ridiculous drunken stunt gone wrong, I'll be able to say 'It was for you, Evel' ;)

I think that as riders we all owe something to him, he made it cool to put yourself in danger just for the rush. For that i salute him.

it was a joke you idiot...that isnt evil knievel it is just some awsome as american dude that races the vic state series.
