Autosalon Final Battle 2007

So whose going/has been, I'm going tomorrow. For those who don't know what it is its a car show based towards towards the Japaneses style cars. More info at www.autosalon.org

I was gonna go to the Melbourne one but I had to work! Shattered :(. Would have been awesome.

Ive been to probably the last 5 or 6 in Melbourne, except the last semi final.

Standards were definately dropping, less cars, less quality of car, uglier chicks, and wayyyy more annoying muzzas. There weren't as many top class show cars as other years which made a massive difference.

Id rather go to a decent show and shine or Holden V Ford show or something more muscle car orientated these days, too much rice at autosalon.

Its a japanese style car show not a muscle car show. Thats why there so much rice. Meguiars Moto-ex is a good muscle car show.

Also in reference to the final battle question. There are shows round the country and this is the grand final one. ie the best out of them all.

I know what autosalon is pal. I was just saying how it has greatly detirrearated around here, the poorer standard of cars mixed with the shithouse majority demographic of people that go there means Id rather go to a muscle car show (even though I like both genres) The cars have definately become more ricey down here, I didn't even see a 500+hp run on the dyno at all last time! In fact most of the cars were demo cars for the various traders and companies trying to show off their latest crap.

Whos even winning god of autosalon this year? In years gone by there was actually decent cars: Osmans WRX convertible, BarB BMW drag car, that gold 200sx etc. They are the major drawcards and there haven't really been any this year, or much promotion of the event so numbers of participants and spectators were WAY down in the last one I went to (they only half filled the exhibition centre whereas they filled it with 550 cars in 2006).

i feel your dissapointment. i had a party on saturday night (before the semi final in melb.) and a mate stayed over, we cbf going on sundi so he went home only to find out dad had VIPpasses to it!!! 'shattered' :(

Was an ok show today. Not as good as last year. Had some bloody powerful cars on the dyno, they had a single turbo supra with no nitrous do a 902Kw/1200Hp run. There were a few 1000Hp+ runs.

yeh i went, it was alright, was anyone there on saterdat when that datson blew its engine on the dyno? loudest bang.
