You can get a demo from www.download.com but it's like 600mb. It's multiplayer and has a single player map and it's pretty cool but the real deal costs money

I have BF2 but for some reason i can only play over lan(damn punkbuster), but i use hamachi which creates a network over the internet. I also play, CSS, DODS, TF2, HL2, COH, WIC, and hopefully will be getting COD4. all great games.

Ping is generally pretty low, I usually get around 40 and thats with my shithouse connection.

I just got it, it was practically a 'steal'.

But all I do is get 'PunkBusted' (?) because my ping is something like 300 or so, I'm using it on a laptop connected through wireless but it doesn't play on my 'normal' PC just goes into it then exits.

How can I lower my ping?? Anyone know?

I agree to what was said ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^, but only the bit about online gaming. BF2's online gaming would have to be one of the best out of any game I have ever played on computer, as good as Counter Strike Source, maybe better.

I have not played COD 4, but yes people say it is good, but you have to look at it like this, it is only a couple of weeks old, BF2 is at least 1yr - 2yrs old, not really sure, so if COD 4 is better, well it is no surprise why.

not in my opinion, i have more fun playing css against hackers then playing bf2

when i played bf2 i only enjoyed playing with clan mates and clan matches, just waaaay too many tards out there, but even then the clan matches were nothing compared to matches from DC and 42 and even BFV

there are some tards on bf2 but its not that bad. There is the occasional hacker. It's not hard to find them when they take 10 shotgun shots to the head, then turn around and shoot you once with a pistol and kill you.

GA#2 64p inf best server ever. Can't stand jets or helicopters, especially on Sharqui Peninsula (sp?). Helicopters on that map will kill your whole side in 30 seconds. Theres just too much teamkilling for vehicles and domination with them to make it enjoyable.

I've played it since it first came out, and it deffinatly has nothing or very little over BF2.

I could handle the nearly-two-gig worth of download but not being able to try it out was a bit ordinary.

Also give the Australian Forces mod a try too. It's basically skins only but you can access most of the multi maps in single mode.

I have found sometimes, I play to the end of the round, and quit when the new round starts, when it is counting down, and you have to choose your class again, but I have no received the points or the last 1 -3 games I had already played.
