Doesn't that stand for F*cking Insult to the Automotive Trade?
Never owned one. Had a number of Alfas though, and we're currently rebuilding a 2300s coupe at work.
I like Italian cars and bikes in general. I guess that makes me a Fiat fan (although not particularly die-hard)

Not a die hard fan but I do like the new 500 and the old X19 was awesome.

I remember when I was 5 or 6 my parents bought a brand new fiat punto. It was a bloody great car and my mum wants one of the new ones even though its looks are abit questionable.

I am a bit of a Fan of the old Fiat Abarth 1600s. Rear engine, weigh 790 kgs with 116kw resulting in a reasonably quick car however apparently needs to be driven with boot chocked open to avoid overheating and too loud to talk whilst driving...

Ive owned a few Fiats in my time , so i suppose i would be classed as a enthusiast but not for a long time.
the best car i had was a 131 super brava , man that car hauled arse for a 2 litre 4 cyl.
NCR 600, I realy would like to get a 2300s , they have that classic '60s styling that still looks great.

My girflfriends father is into fiat's big time. He's got a an abath 850 (i think), a few x19'd and a spider. They are beautiful cars and a pleasure to drive. I dunno about the styling of the new ones, but the older ones are great. I also like the 124, they are pretty sweet..

This one's a pretty neat-o example of the breed. If you can ignore the damage a dropped valve did to number 5. It's an older restoration and looks very sweet indeed.

they are a great looking '60s sports car that I may even be able to afford to own one day. When i was working at a workshop that did a lot of Italian cars (maserati meracs ,boras. alfa montreals ect)we had a customer with a fiat dino coupe, dont know much about them but a beautifull car that didnt go to bad either
at least engine parts will not be impossible to get for the 2300 , just realy difficult.

Schmick hey!
Ours is a white one, and looks just as nice. Not much going on with it right now though. The head's ready to go back on the motor. Hopefully be out of the shop soon.
We specialise in hard stuff. The bread and butter comes from Carrera Cup cars, but we look after a number of other race cars and tarmac rally cars.
The Porsches are all down at Sandown right now, so we've only got the Fiat, some 105 GTV's and 210 hp engines being built, a 74 GTS Pantera, Loti (GTP car and 29R Historic) AC Cobra Replica (in the loosest sense of the word) and a GT40 replica (again, in a very loose sense of the word) race car under construction.
We also do historic open wheelers from time to time.
The big Fiats seem to be pretty good value for money!
Where do you work NCR600?

the way I remember the story is that after Dino ferrari (Enzo's son) died in a racing accident , Enzo Ferrari basically lost interest and the company went down hill , then fiat bought him out.

Fiat bought out Ferrari in the mid 70's and Alfa Romeo in the mid 80's. They also own Maserati.
Their version of marketing is that they have very defined roles for each of their companies, which is why we'll never see a Maserati or Alfa that is the equivalent of a Ferrari ever again. (despite both marques being around for longer... the prancing horse logo was an Alfa Romeo symbol for many years before Enzo Ferrari started building cars, and in fact dates back to a World War One Italian Air Force Squadron, which Enzo was a member of)
