Hey all in Brissy...
I'm keen for a DH ride and was just wondering if some people would wanna meet up somewhere to go for a day of DH =]
Dont really care where as long as its not too far from Brisbane, I really only know Mt. Cootha off the back of my hand, I'm really really bloody keen to find some tracks out somewhere else and start riding there more often, cos considering the bike I'm riding and how much it cost I dont really wanna be riding Cootha, I wanna ride something more DH orientated. Who's up for going out for a day then. I'm thinking Saturday or Tuesday?
Cheers all =]

same, I don't know anywhere to ride other than nerang, which my parents won't take me too anymore becasue it's too far away.
SO I'm all open for some new locations:)
Tuesday's good for me...depending on where and when.
Edit: I may be catching the train down to nerang on friday with "babington" if there are any other keen guys on the
southside. PM me
and I have a new bike:D

Yup, sure are. There are a few different dh runs (old race runs) that end in this quarry area. One of the runs finishes with a pretty steep chute with a small drop half way down. Nothing insane, but the trails are pretty cool.

You guys should check out Clear Mountain on Brisbane's 'far'-north side. It's not a bad little run. It's 2.3km from the top to bottom. PM me if you want more info. A mate and I usually hit it on Tuesday arvo's...
It's usually a 4 to 5 min run down and a 30 min push/ride back up. So if you have a ute or something to shuttle in, it's ideal. Where you finish you can easily be picked up.

Yeah, and after 4 or 5 runs, that little hill feels like Mt Coot-tha :D

Hey Chas, how does the Dayboro run compare to Clear Mountain? I've been told no comparison and that Dayboro is way better (harder, steeper, technical) than Clear Mountain???

Clear mountain, is a great begginner track, but still has stuff that keeps me going back.
Daybora, is alot more technical and has a great varity of stuff on it, and way more lines then, clear.
