hey guys
i an interested in purchasing a new bike and was wandering if there would be any major differences between the 06 and 07 model stp 0.
i want to mostly ride street and an occassional trail would this best suit my riding or should i look more into a sasquatch?
cheers

your all forgetting one major factor. the 07 stp has a disgusting paintjob. really who would put paint on a bike that wasnt smooth, really?
the sasquatch is a more trail orientated bike so if your keen to ride street i would stick with the stp.

Yeah its a pity about the colour. The blue makes me want to boot.

hey
i was looking around the for sale section and trading post, it seems the stp zeros
06 and 07 are roughly 1200 which falls in my budget. correct me if im wrong but is there only 2 chainrings on the stp (plus the e 13), is this suitable for a long distance ride? also am i able to add a larger chainring (44t chainring) to replace the e.13 or would this defeat the purpose?
thanks

Well if you want to do street riding, do not get the sasquatch, they are pretty heavy. Also, if you're getting an STP get the 07, they have a much better spec list.

I have an 07 stp and the specs are excellent but the frame is shit house. It's like some bad maui tattoo, and its rough? They are better for street than anything else but i use mine for mostly downhill and its shit for that. but if you are doing street get a single speed like the new 08 norcos they are around a grand??

15 footers would be freeride stuff!
You're probably a dirt jumper and all you do is jumps. I race my STP and i'm up there with the fastest hardtailers in Australia, but the geometry of the frame isn't good for full on downhill. The rear wheel is too close to the bottom bracket which shortens the wheelbase which makes it harder to drift and do turns. But i'm fairly used to it now. Norco geometries are alot better for downhill racing. enough said...
