Landed on the front wheel, bounced once, thought i might make it back then jumped/flipped over the bars, chucked my hands out, hit my head on the ground, my face had some dirt on it but no cuts. Got up, walked about 10m then lay down and took some big breaths. Then walked to the car with my wrist/arm a lil' bent. Its the next day now, I swear I got like 1 hours sleep. Its more painful now then it was when it happened and I have been on 30mg+ of kodene since i went to sleep last night. Not cool.

I'm not looking forward to getting it all bent into place tomorrow, I cant really see myself sleeping that night.

Cheers

I broke my arm about 5 weeks ago an i thought i could not last a week without riding. Its been 5 weeks an i have not killed anyone yet so i must be doin ok.

You might have your cast on for 6 weeks but im sorry to tell you it can still be another month untill you can ride because the arm will still be weak. You will find other things to do in that time (may i sugest free rider 1 or 2) but if you start riding too soon you might rebreak it which is another 2-3 months.

Good luck. I fell your pain

I broke my wrist nearly 5 months ago & it's still healing. The radius is completely healed up with little to no pain but the scaphoid is still bothering me & the osteoporosis that developed from inactivity is taking its time to ease up.

It's funny how many people have broken there arm lately(it really isn't). I fractured my Radius 4 weeks ago and about a week ago had a fiberglass short cast put on and iv'e tried to ride. Man it sucks, but it happens.

haha, thats exactly what happened to me... fractured radius, its a smith fracture if i remember right, except normally smith fractures bend outwards away from your body... Mines pointing in which apparently makes it worse... I'm hoping to get a fibre-glass half cast thing in 3 weeks or so, then i guess i can start riding the road cycle and getting fitness up again...
