Hey, I Was Thinking about shredding a bit more weight in the front, and drilling holes through my rim, between every spoke on my 36h double wall rim.
whats the best way to do it, the easiest way im thiking of is to drill through both layers with a drop drill/ stationary bench-drill (i've forget what its called )
and then covering the inside up wif the rim tape..
Is that the easiest way?? without using a hand drill.
any tips or pro-cons on doing this??
oh and yes im aware you can buy fly rims with holes through out, but im saving up for other mods, so saving $150 there.

Don't drill your rims, in the words of others "Its bonedeath man, 56k bonedeath":p. There are also heaps of easier ways to save weight if you don't mind spending more than just your time.
However, if you are going to do it, do it properly. Unlace your wheels and drill between every spoke hole from the rim side but only through the 1st wall. There's no point using a heavy rim strip to cover holes on the tube side that will save you sfa weight.
As for the fly rims, they actually weigh more than a quality 'whole' rim(pardon the pun:p).

i've seen people do it, but i wasnt sure how it'd go and such,

dont do it.... you'll proberly save more weight running thinner tubes in some cases.
If you want rims with holes to look cool.... dont do it.
I bought fly rims... not becuase of the holes but because imo there the strongest rim without going to a midway which is over 20 ounces (although if i destroy my flys midway it is )

yeh i did it on my rim i didnt save weight because i needed thinck tubes and extra rim straps to stop punctures from the dodgy drill job. At first i though it looked mad but a few months later i regrteded it nad since replaced it, if you want to know how i did it:
I took off the tube
looked by eye in the middle between spokes and punched it with a center punch,
dirlled it through with a small drill bit (battery power hand drill),
drilled it again with a big drill bit (hand drill cord power)
this is how it turned out, it was single wall rim so thats why the tube/rim-stap sticks out:

The rim tape is there, just the tube is pushing it out a bit because of the high pressure.
If you have double or tripple wall rims and only drill through the first wall or to the 2nd if you have a tripple wall you will not have that problem.
I say do it if you want. ONLY to the front wheel or none if you nose case, nose pick and do shit heavily on your front wheel.
