sup guys, is it normal for a new 48 spline crank to be really tight, and once its on, it pretty much wont come off?

it happened to me, and once it was on i realised i needed another spacer in there, but i couldnt get the crank arm off!! so for now im using ugly circlips

Don't most 48spline cranks come with a crank pull tool because of this issue?

yes just put lots of grease and get a cranks remover and installer, best $30 spent ever.

my cranks were realy realy tight and i noticed there was over spray from the factory job on the inside of the crank arm so i put paint remover in there and got rid of that then put on lots of grease and got it on.
now it comes on and off easily

mine are strictly bitch cranks, and i think they tried to keep to cost down.

They are tight so they dont come loose. If they dont use pinch bolts then they have to stick somehow. Just get a proper crank remover and you should be sweet.

FSA make them for their Nasty Boy cranks which are 48 spline, so the same tool should work with them too. And they are available seperate.
