sessums and i decided to try 360s off drop today... he stomped it, i failed..
got nice set of crack ribs in the process...because i hesitated.

if there's one thing i learnt that i could pass on to anyone trying the same thing? ... don't wait 2hours trying to psych yourself up.. if you don't do it in the first 10 to 20mins.. come back another day.
i had full confidence in making that 3...i did not go beyond my limits.. i just hesitated and paid the price.

I think that throwing stuff of drops is the hardest thing about freeride mtb.
I can barely bring myself to xup drops let alone whip, spin or can off it.

Was that your first attempts at 3'ing that drop cause the first guy was smooth, the second is what i would expect to do the first time i 3'ed a drop.

Wow, that looked painful. If that was one of your first attempts I'm sure you'll stomp it pretty soon; the first half of your spin looked very commited!

Sweet attempt, shame you didn't pull it off, I feel for you, my dad cracked a few of his ribs and he was in agony. Thing is though, I know you will get it, because I have watched everyone of your vids, from the first one to now, and from just your sheer determination I know you will get it, and to compete in crank worx :eek:

I know how you feel, though the closest I have come to breaking ribs is to tear three or four ribs from their cartilage - bloody hurts.

Haolui reeves, Lanson, Rolins (dk guy), Kainoa Mcgee, etc etc..
so funny man.. bodyboarding days ..
ahhh i miss the water a bit now i'm off my bike.. but it's made me more determined than ever to heal and stick that fuka.. problem is .. i keep watching all the comp vids and seeing how good these guys are.. i don't stand a chance.. so i have to just and have fun, nuff sed.

Wow man that's cool. Did you get to meet all those guys or just seen them about? Kainoa done the Pipe comp (stand up) this year I think, not 100% but i'm sure he did.

I've been pinging for a surf lately, swells been cracking here for 2 weeks and i been scratching my arse nursing a f*#ked shoulder, thankfully I can still ride in small doses which is a saving grace. I'll be going under the knife sometime this year but after I recover I'm dead keen to get right back into the bodyboarding, been missing it too much.

Rip it up at crankworks, it'll be worth the experience on it's own.
