Holy f.... Wow. I just watched a bit of Snowmobile racing on ESPN and I'm fucking stunned, that was one of the most insane things I've ever seen. Like a crazy motherf'er version of 4 Cross. It makes me feel like a pussy for riding Downhill :eek:

Then I saw that racing tonight... and ah... well I'd pretty much see a backflip as pretty ordinary after that.

The powerful racing ones can be driven across water if you hit it with enough speed.

They be great fun although a little dangerous, I hired on once and rolled on on its side and tipped my girlfriend off the back and she wasn't impressed

Same here...so many stacks there in that video and how close the snowmobile is landing near them..imagine if one time it does...ouch!:eek::eek:

They're so big and cumbersome. The differences between riding a ski mobile and a moto would be the same as surfing a park bench opposed to surfing a short board.

Those guys are doing well to get a bit of a whip going imo.

I love 2 things about the sport personally; 1) The fact that the "freestyle" dudes are stuck in the early-days Crusty Demons of Dirt dune-jumping mindset where they just send ludicrously huge jumps down massive slopes and headslap the shit out of the landings and 2) The fact that if a snowmobile lands on it's skids, you're ten different kinds of fucked if you managed to land in front of it while your buddies down the slope are 100 different kinds of even more fucked once it gets to them. Those fuckers gots some serious momentum.

Early Last year i went to the Crusty Demons Unleashed Hell Tour (this was in Brisbane) around Australia and there was this snowmobile. The Crusty Guys were just doing some backfilps and super-man c-grabs and other stuff. then the host (the guy telling as what tricks they where doing and that) said that a guy on snowmobile is doing to do a backflip off one of the jumps. So he guns it's hit's the jump does about 3/4 of the rotation and the snowmobile landed nose first...the guy went over the bars and the snowmobile went into the air and the snowmobile landed about one meter away from the guy laying on this downramp....I think you got taken away on a strectcher not so sure
