It's cold and wet in the USA right now and being stuck indoors must be making those yanks do crazy things. Got to the following link and have a good look at the banner ad at the top of the page..... good to see some humor in the racing world.

Until someone breaks his legs... He is a freak and his winning margins show it.

Back to Sam.
Anyone watch the UCI last night on FuelTV?

When Sam came over the line 5 seconds ahead, Gee or Lee (I don't know... an Atherton of some sort) who was in the lead was clapping but the look on his face was "oh f*** off".

Meh, broken ankles/broken wrists/bar fights/inconsistency should take care of the Syndicate threat from those three.

Rennie can take care of that on his own..

hahahahahaha, don't mean to sound so bitchy, but i've started to become anti-Rennie. He always starts a interveiw with positives but he starts complaining how bad things happened to him coming down the track.I guess everyone does. But take 06' world cup for example. Rennie was saying how that massive log rolled out in ront of him, fair enough he's entitled to say what happneded and yeah it was a let down. Then you get Minaar who just simple says Sam was good,Sam was fast(or somehting like that).I think i defend him because i'm now a SUNDAY rider.

But as i said, everyone is entitled to free speach and that's just the way i'm feeling at the moment. Not saying Rennie is bad or a tosser, because by no means he is that,i'm just not pro Rennie right now.Go Sam, Go the SUNDAY. I'm keen to see how Fabien Barel goes though.

Everyone famous has something some people don't like I suppose.
, I've heard a few things from a few people which weren't exactly "pro Sam" , Not going to bitch so I won't go into it... but I guess you get that with everyone

True, once you become famous or you are in the lime light, there is bound to be positives and negatives about you.

Its racing at the end of the day its not all flower rainbows and bunny rabbits. Sam and Nathan are racing against each other its ok if there not best buds. Sam has alot of sneaky(cheat) lines that some riders do not agree with.

i think you may be reading to much into it.

if you're talking about the footage/quote from earthed you will notice that Rennie was still sitting on his bike in the finish area and was probably just asked how his run was.

From interviews, Rennie is a tosser IMO. But from experience, he's a decent normal kind of guy. TV always distorts reality.

It sounds as though Santa Cruz may be taking the bull by the horns this year at the adult film industry awards..........Go get 'em.;)

Agree with you there johnny. The few times I have met him he always seems really down to earth and very 'normal'.

Yep, would like to see the Big Men up on the podium this year. If they don't make the podium, they will definately beat the little blokes at the bar. ;)

It must be annoying for the "big men" to be beaten by a big 5+ seconds at every race.

hahahaha, great ad.

I think The Syndicate is going to go bloody well this year, with three great riders, though Sam Hill is still pretty much unbeatable...

Sam sees the potential to use lines that other folks either don't see at all or don't consider rideable. (The rock at the start of the rock garden at last year's Nationals at Stromlo for instance, Sam was the only elite rider who went over it rather than going around) I'd be really astounded if any of them were "cheat" lines (that is, outside the rules) though. Surely if they were then there would be appeals to the marshals and race organisers?
The current (well current in Australia) issue of Dirt had some sort of veiled comment in one of the captions with a photo of Sam riding very close to the tape, but obviously they didn't feel it was clear cut enough to make a proper accusation out of it.

If you're copping a flogging because someone is cheating, you're not going to just sit back and take it. If on the other hand you're getting flogged because the other guy is better then you mightn't like it but there's not much you can do except lift your game.

Syndicate also got a pretty fast junior in Josh Bryceland. Been watching a few videos with him in, and hes pretty damn quick.

Though the other quick British rider is riding on same team as Sam and Sabrina?
Thats something i've heard.

Are you talking about Peat as the other quick British guy? If so, he couldn't be on The Syndicate and Hills team, wouldn't work, would it?

Anything within the bunting is fair game, you do not have to stay on the track most of the time in order to be within the bunting. Sam just has the skills to be able to hold inside lines and off cambers no one else can.

As for tension between Nathan and Sam, no way! Downhill isn't a sport with enough money etc behind it for fierce rivalries to emerge, especially not between fellow countrymen.
