Hey guys,
Looking at going bmx :) I have a price range of $800-$1000 and have narrowed it down to these three:
KHE Bar-Bados Lt - $999 - http://www.khebikes.com/cms/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=348&Itemid=75
WTP Trust - $900 - http://wethepeople.de/V3/product/252
Eastern Ace of Spades - $900 - http://www.easternbikes.com/

Due to availablity (and the fact it has a coaster) i think i will go for the bar-bados, but im after peoples opinions, and how they think it would compare to the eastern and the WTP.

Basic criteria is:
Chromed rim
20.5-21' tt
Cassette (or freecoaster :P) hub
And as light as possible :)

I know that there have been heaps of these threads lately but i havnt heard of the KHE before.

Thanks heaps :)

That khe is pretty swish.neat package.never really paid them much attention before.
pretty much same weight as the wtp trust.
but in the end personal preference.

out of the 3 above the khe is a better bike, we sold them at the store i worked at once and after talking to a mate who rides for them they are one of the top complete bikes around

Yer the KHE looks good. The only thing is that if i want to ride anything apart from the khe i will have to get it specaily in. Do you think theis obligates me to buy the bike?

Any one else got any info on them?
Thanks.

ya the khe is nice but it has the free coaster and you might not like that. IMO i think its one of the ugliest bikes( geo and colour) but i would pick quality over looks any day. Some i would either the khe or the trust. Both really nice bikes. And if you hear bad about the salt products, dont worry about them, they are just as good as any other complete parts.( from what i hear)

i have an eastern ace of spades pro 2007 and i love it. but the khe is a nice looking bike with good spec but if you dont like the coaster the only way to fix that is to get a new hub which costs $$$$

For the money you're paying, rule out the eastern you can do so much better. No idea about price of it, but the integral bel air is a sweet top end complete. Might lie in that bracket,,,

alternately, spend 7-800 on something a little cheaper and use the rest of your 1g you would have spent on the bar-bados to upgrade the specific things you want, and flog off the spares on farkin for a bit extra
