My knees hurt just thinking about it. Ie he uses a fixed gear to brake.

Probably a pedal back brake, like on the bikes you ride as a little kid.

Jeezzee that is one dodgy road.

First episode of the latest series of top gear (10) they find this road on their search for the greatest driving roads of the world, and it makes the list and then they drive it in their mental cars. later on in the series a man sends in a photo showing his absolutley destroyed lambourghini murcialago after he brutaly crashed on the road. so its not recomended

A Ferrrari? If the Stelvio Pass is as rough as that photo suggests you'd probably be better off in Evo or STI. That's unless of course the car isn't yours and you don't care about blowing the dampeners and swiping flag stones as you struggle to control the car.

That Calore dude is a nutter!

I'm going against the flow and saying stelvio looks like a somewhat dull and rather shitty road. You'd never get up any speed, theres no flow, just braaaap, stop, turn, braap, stop, turn, repeat...

Just a longer version of Galston Gorge (for those that live in Sydney's North West)

One corner like that is fun, 10 in a row get tedious.

In fact, it looks horribly frustrating and monotonous.
