so basicaly when im in the air i try to do a no-foot can, i can get the extesion over the frame, pull my legs back so they are each on their respective sides, but i often seem to miss the pedals with at least 1 foot. im not sure why it happens, i can do no foot cans on flat (jump off the bike, no-foot can then land back on the pedals). at first i thought it was a commitment thing, but after a straight hour of trying, with full commitment, i still seem to frequently miss at least one pedal. when i do get both feet back on my feet wont be in the right position and they just slip off. so basicaly im looking for tips on getting my feet to the pedals because its really starting to piss me off.

oh, i wasnt really sure where this thread should go so i decided to play it safe and stick it in the general section. if its in the wrong place my bad, feel free to move it admins

For the record... I have no idea, I can't ride, let alone jump for shit.

But what if you get some grippier (sp) shoes or pedals?

this will sound stupid
just make sure you are pulling your feet back to the right place like you might think you are but you arent and missing by a little bit

hope that helps

ok well this happened to me when i first learnt no footers so it might help for your no foot cans...i did it when i first learnt no foot cans to...all you need to do is look at the pedals as soon as you start bringing your feet back from the extension...if this doesnt help then i would be very suprised but have a shot...and also you dont always have your feet land in the right spot on the pedals so dont worry about that...hope that helped:)

hmm i never had that problem for me it was a commitment thing

but yeah like chu said the pros reckon to learn them its easiest to not even take your eyes off the pedals while youre doing the trick, but i reckon thatd be hard not to look to the side but mayb as youre feet come back over look down ..easier said then done i know haha

good luck anyway !

will...

wow that is strange...i thought that it would have been the other foot that is more likely ot come off...just look at the pedals and you will get it...i can almost garauntee (sp?) you:D

i know its really weird, my left foot is just a bit slower to get back than my right foot for some reason. ill keep trying today and hopefully ill start landing them more frequently.

I'm not a big trick/DJ/Park rider, but from what you're saying, perhaps it's a subconcious thing where you're thinking the right foot would be alot harder to place back on, and therefor you're concentrating mainly on that foot. Maybe try to look at the pedals and concentrate mainly on getting that left foot in place.

i think the problem is i hesitate for a split second so the trick is no longer a smooth action. i was doing no-footers just to get the hang of taking my feet right off, then bringing them back. i can do it easily and its a really smooth motion, when i do no-foot cans i kind of hesitate briefly before i try to get my feet down to meet the peddles, this hesitation means that the bike has nearly landed so i kind of subconsciously decide to bail. i think thats th problem at least, ill keep trying and ill just have to force my self to get the peddles i suppose.
