hi
I am buying an 08 UMF Hardy 2 Disc
If you have one or have ridden one, how would you rate it what are the pros or cons?
or even know anything about the bike feedback would be greatly accepted

I have an 06. Very similar frame. I'm aiming to spec mine more towards a trail/AM HT spec.

Pros:
Short, flickable and reasonably light. On the 08, the forks are pretty good. Stem/Bars/Shifters/Derailleur is the same on my model, and I haven't broken them (May be moot point, as I don't ride very hard). You don't see many around at all/European is good

Cons:
It's a street/DJ style frame, fork and setup- not as allrounder as similar bikes. Cranks aren't brilliant, and the price is a little excessive. Brakes are average- Tektro Auriga, but they'll do the job.

What style of riding do you intend to do?

My mate has one. he uses it for everything street/dj and a bit of freeride and downhill. he doesn't seem to have any problem with it. It comes with strong parts and everything. I'll get him to post up his thoughts about it later.
cheers.

ridden it hard and stacked it hard
i reckon buy one
and another plus is that if ya stack and the bike lands on the brake lever the break wont bust it will pop out and will save u hundreds.

does it come complete with auto air pressure adjustment valve caps that hold the air better than the regular ones?

They are bulky little frames, I had a UMF Hardy 1.
Nice for street, but in my opinion it was a bit too short for DJ/4x, spat me over the bars and broke my arm ;)

Pro's:
Good for street style stuff
Average weight
Wont break it
Look pretty nice

Cons:
Short
Broke my arm
They scare me now
