hey
i know there was a thread on this a while ago but i couldnt find it.
i just received my brand new codes and between the pads there is a red plastic strip thing. I read the instructions and i have tried a few things but they wont come out!
Is there some special way that they just come out or do i just pull until the fall out.
thanks

many different ways, really you should just pull them out, but they seem to have to much oil in there.
i tried pumping and pulling i tried everything. finaly i thought stuff this and slightly undid the bleed screw on the lever, till a little oil trinkled out ... squirted bout 3 metres. then it was just a task of wiggling the red thing out with ease.
note: doing this may let air into the system if you open it up to much, and let air in.

thanks
i have moved it slightly by pulling but i was just worried if i kept yanking it as hard as i was something would break.
cheers

if you look closely there is a little locking mechanism on the red tab in the triangle bit where you are pulling from....looking at these you need to ply the 2 hooks apart and then pull

you can/do, but the problem seemed to be (especialy from T7) that the lever had been pulled to many times and the pads where pressed hard up against the spacer. to hard to phisicaly pull it, so hard that infact when pulled the spacer out the spacer snapped in the middle for me.

just use a pair of pliers, it isnt goint to harm them in any way pulling them out...

hey thanks i saw the tabs and i tried pushing them apart but it didn't really work so i just used some pliers and they came out with some effort.
They are now on my bike and are waiting for rain to stop so they can be bedded in :D
