Couple of links that might help, if you haven't seen them before. Haven't ridden either to comment myself though, sorry.

From personal experience with two Cove Dh frames I'd got the turner.
Both of the Coves cracked unfortunately - one within the warranty period, one just outside the warranty period..
Just have a look at the frame for sale by the distributor

Coves are pretty hard to get a hold of here in Aus. And the turner frame is pretty awesome.
So i'd go for the turner.

cove's seem pretty heavy and turners seem pretty light and whippy!

he aussie cove dealer is also trying to clean out his '06 stock..pm him. and tell him chris sent ya. (Mr Cove) Some very sweet deals going down, unfortunately i cant take part right now...damn m and d finance
I can't comment on the Cove DH frames, but i love my Stiffe FR, the geometry is so compatible, it'll go down a hill and hit the hucks up.....or you can wind the forks down and hit up the DJ's.

The shocker can be built up pretty light as well. . If you want a solid linkage bike the shocker is sweet, angles are bang on and is pretty versatile. You wont go wrong with either rig though.

can't comment on the cove, but Turner, yep, great frame, can be built up in the high 16kg low 17kg range, nice and low in the front end, great angles, excellent service and warranty, couldn't go wrong with Bill looking after you

I have been riding the same turner DHR for 3.5 years. People who have had problems have had frames replaced with no fuss. I would go the turner. When my bike decides to finally die i will replace it with a new turner.

Well they're both different styles of bike. The Turner is a low pivot faux bar and the Shocker is a virtual pivot design. The Turner will tend to float over high frequency bumps and retain speed better at the cost of traction, the Shocker will tend to sink into its suspension more and retain traction. The Turner will stay active under pedalling whereas the Shocker will tend to lock out under pedalling. Both bikes will stay active under braking although I suspect the Turner will suffer from more brake jack.
Personally I would go for the Turner because its similar to my D8 and it would suit my plow riding style better. If it was my money though, I'd be looking at a Morewood Izumu, those things look like absolute weapons.

Havent ridden the cove, but ive been riding a turner dhr since August 07. So far its been excellent for downhill and have had no problems, i also prefer it over any other downhill bike ive ridden. So id go the turner, but thats just my bias opinion.

ohk cheers guys thanks for all the help.
most of u are saying the turner.
im 14 years old so im pretty light (43kg)
so im probly leaning to the turner more because you can make it lighter.
but is there still anymore comments for the cove ?

go the cove, i've been riding my shocker for about a year and it plows, it whips , it looks way better than a turner, and cornering is like no other bike, very easy to control.

my turn!!
both good bikes, in fact both very good bikes
turner is still a single pivot, which means light and simple but DOES lock down a little under pedaling and braking, great geometry though
shocker is very active, vpp type design, still active under pedaling slight stiffening under braking
i'm pretty much a hack rider but really couldn't belive how well my shockers have cornered!!
and, this is something that other people have told me too, they 'pump' speed faster, they seem to propel them selves forward as they return their travel
Steve Smith got 4th at the Nat Champs at Stromlo (Turner Territory!!!!) and 2nd at Nats #4 at Beauty at the weekend his Shocker
there were a few issues with the first generation frames, anyone who had a problem has had a replacement, all free of charge including shipping costs
i have frames in stock now Shockers $3700 and the new 7" travel rig the STD, $3600
pm for details, e-mail on the fritz!!!
