My new STP 1...
I got it brand new from the LBS. It's going really well. :)
I might chop the bars down a bit, they're very wide.
What do you all think i should upgrade?
I want to keep the gears for now, nthn beaches isn't exactly the flatest area... but eventually i might switch to single speed.
Cheers

Thanks mate.
As for the wide bars, my old bike had wide bars, but these are VERY wide haha. At times i find it good having the extra leverage etc but sometimes it just feels plain awkward. I'll keep them as they are for now, but it's maybe something i'll do later on down the track.

Goiod value rigs STPs are. I reckon just replace the parts as you break them, the only thing I would bother changing for the time being would be the hussetfelt cranks.

Its not the seat that snaps,
its the seatpost.

Thanks for the comments.
Just wondering if anyone can recommend a good seatpost and Saddle (combo) without going over the top on price.

yeah my mates seat post snapped.. well the bolt in it anyway
but the seats do bend and aren't exactly the best seat.
new seat aye.. get the fun full throttle.. there soo nice.
Sweet Ride Man.
Keep the Bars the wider length for a little while and see if you like them before you cut 'em off.
Is that a reflector on the handlebars ?

Yeah matt, i've gotta get up there again soon, is it flooded with all this rain though?
Also I'm thinking of selling this and buying a 24incher, what sort of money do you think this bike is worth. Taking into account i bought it at the beginning of this year brand new from the LBS.

Sick bike mate, do you prefer SS to gears? Did you take your front brakes off?
NickM91
27-04-2008, 05:30 PM
Yeah i prefer SS to gears greatly! I still find my self reaching to change the gears every now and then, but it's good, you get up the hills a lot faster :P
Yeah front brake is off.
I'm about to put it up for sale though.
Check the for sale section if your interested.
