I haven't had a chance to weigh the big girl yet, but I've taken it for a few runs down a few local tracks and it feels just like a balfa should -awesome for fast flowy stuff and a bastard to turn at slow speeds.
I love it!
Next addition (hopefully) will be a set of Fox40's on the front.
Thanks,
Trentie.
P.S. This bike is AWESOME at speed. I took it for a run down Old Flagstone Creek Road (the road that Flagon runs off - it's steep) and comfortably had this bike accelerating away from my brother in a ute doing 90kmh behind me.
100kmh, baby! :D

Looks awesome, although that head angle looks huge, $1 bets on a 70 degree head angle :D

Uh, huge? As in slack or steep? This bike has an awesome headangle, nowhere near 70. more like 67-68.

Nah my week/weekend was amazing but it never ceases to amaze me how fast some people can go on a bike.

So there's no such thing as bitumen roads with steep downgrades?
Anyone that's ridden the Flagon track knows how steep the road is.
100kmh with 42-13 gearing is entirely possible, bud.
Lots of fun, too!

yeah its not a very good idea though.
you should put some road tyres on it at 120psi then hit it.
good luck keeping up to that in a ute, and making the last corner

The idea of hitting 100km/h on a steep enough slope is feasible, the idea that you could accelerate via the pedals at this point is ludicrous. There is basically no way you could spin at 200+ RPM on a DH bike in those circumstances.

I was the brother of Trents following him down the road.
He hit 100km/h no worries at all.
Just that last bend i was the one hitting the breaks in the ute, not trent on the bike.

whether it's a good idea or not is entirely upto the person doing it;)

you are right tu plang, I certainly can't spin at 200+ rpm but you can tuck low enough to reduce wind drag on a steep enough hill.
Don't believe me, then drive out to montville and go to lake baroon, then tell me you can't hit 100+ kph:D
photo attached is my mate's first ever attempt down it

Yeh, I was spinning out at top speed (100km/h), but what I was implying is that without the gearing that I had, I wouldn't have gotten to that speed by using gravity alone.
