Replacing cracked phone screen

So just recently I walked into a table. I misjudged the fatness of my leg and careered into the table. Asides from a corked thigh, my phone screen is completely smashed, which is annoying.

I can't recall ever hearing someone talking about replacing the screen, mine is pretty much completely wrecked. How much will it cost to fix roughly? Its a sony w850i. And where should I go to fix it? Its not insured I dont think and I dont think its get warranty or any other glamorous features, I just wanna fix it! Help me farkineers:)

Don't bother ... costs pretty much the same as a new phone ... which I never understood ... and the insurance if you have it doesn't cover it ... "Physical Damage" ... Don't ask me ... *shrugs shoulders*.

It apparently covers mental anxiety though.

Actually I think I can just buy a replacement, the thing seems to come off fairly easily, its like a glass protector over the real screen. I could be in luck.

yeah, my experience is with the cracked LCD ... lucky for you. Assume you can still see thru it ... why bother ... likely do it again anyways

if its a cracked screen like they actauly LCD, you looking at any where from 70-170, absolute rip off.

if its just the plastic cover, just buy a new cover of ebay. and replace it. shoudl be less then 30.

go onto eBay or if you look through the trading post you might be able to find a repairer, like someone who chips ps2, xbox etc.

edit: around $26 if you smashed your lcd and some skill in electronics
