sooooo im pretty cool. and i want to acid wash some jeans.
black ones, i have read a few thigns on the internet, and have yet to really understand it.
i want them to look like... http://www.atozbluejeans.com/images/acidwashedjeans.jpg or similiar.

few questions? should i just use a spray bottle of bleech and spray them with it? let it sit then wash it out? or maybe even some spa chlorine mixed with water same process?
or.. should i make up a tub of bleech and water, and wash them in it, im thinking i might wash to much colour out this way?

any help appreciated.

Go for a swim at the beach with them on. It will do some interesting effect, perhaps not the one you are after, but interesting none the less:cool:

Step 1 - Get a time machine.

Step 2 - set it for 1987.

Step 3 - Raid my wardrobe.

I'm confused; you changed your name because somebody spat on it?

How thick are your Jeans? If your gonna go putting hypochlorite on there (pool chlorine) you better be prepared for some holes.

I would stick using houshold bleach, dilute it, then apply with a paint brush or whatever, and then wash thoroughly.

Step 1 - Go to Lowes,

Step 2 - Move to jeans section at back of store, should be next to a cardboard cutout of a washed up Rugby League player,

Step 3 - Find said Acid wash jeans from selection. Watch out for polyester beach slacks on special, if available, purchase also,

Step 4 - Return home, move out to back yard, find a cleared area. Use a lighter to ignite highly flammable polyester beach slacks, place on ground. Place acid wash jeans onto burning pile of polyester. Watch fire to ensure both items are reduced to ash. Put out fire.

Step 5 - Go inside and find a mirror. Have a good hard look at yourself for wanting to wear black acid wash jeans.

Step 6 - If urges persist seek counselling.

I would stick using houshold bleach, dilute it, then apply with a paint brush or whatever, and then wash thoroughly.Use a spray bottle, spray on the bleach in a very fine mist to give a light coating. You don't want the bleach to bead up so much it soaks through, this is how you get holes, you just want it to sit on top of the fabric while it bleaches.

Well, this is what I've read on how to bleach-fade material, namely shirts, I'm sure similar would apply here. Holes are from the fabric being soaked through, faded surface is from light mist sitting on top.

Dude, give it up, you can't bring back the '80s no matter how ugly your clothes are.

true story from an 80s pat cash tennis video that i have at my parents place

he used to get plain jeans and sprinkle pool chlorine on them where he wanted some effect

then out in the sun for a whole weekend

unless you have seen the video it is hard to comprehend how proud pat cash was that he could do this himself

Neither household nor pool bleaches are acids! This thread is becoming a web of lies!!

well i had an attempt before, on a old set of jeans, worked out well i think.

the bleech seems to spread to much, and the whole leg pretty much went white/dirty wihite. but the chlorine seems to just sit in the same spot and leave a pretty good .. 'acid washed' effect, ill need to play with my ratio's and get a bit more chlorine in there to make it 'bleech' a bit more.
pretty uch using about 200ml to about 4 desert spoons.

im guessing tomorow morning, i am not going to have any lawn.
