heres the link to the bike for anyone who wants to see them:
Norco:

Avanti:

personally i would go for the norco ryde. just going on specs. but it ends with your decision and personal feel, go to your lbs and test ride each one and see which one feels better. even though it will only be on concrete you will get a basic feel for each bike. overall if i was you i would buy a 2nd hand stp 0 seems perfect for what you want to do, you should be able to get a decent one for a $1000 or under.

EDIT: theres an stp0 in the for sale section for $850 and seems like real good value!

yeh if it was me i would choose the ryde. I think it has a better spec, like the dj3s over the avantis dj4s. Though you might be able to find somthin better second hand, like a stp 0 etc. just my 2 cents
cheers

i would go the norco mainly because norco would have to be stronger then avanti but then the avanti doesn't look that bad i saw one last week

I own a Ryde and love it, so far its hasnt had a single problem. Only thing which i dislike is the brakes, but thats not to hard to fix ay.

I would go for the Norco, much better specs and looks more tempting

Also, if you are after a more DJ type of bike, I rode one of the 125's the other day and rides like a dream...

well everyone i have made my decision and i am getting the ryde. it is cheaper and i think it looks and feels better (after riding a 2008 norco havoc and am going to test ride the ryde before i buy) so that is settled.:)
