Hey buddy, firstly I'll recommend you head over to www.mobileelectronics.com.au

I've attached a pretty basic diagram showing what goes where, but definately go to MEA for more help, you'll find that there is HEAPS of info over there and alot more people who can lend a hand ;)

Given Michael actually holds an Australian Db Drag record and (Correct me if Im wrong Mick) is in the top ten for his class in the world with a car he built himself fom scratch....

I reckon you can probably listen to this blokes advice. And if in doubt, the MEA website/forum is a wealth of knowledge for anyone from beginner to expert.

That being said, if you hav any specific dramas, feel free to Pm me....

That be true Woody, that be true (well the 1st part is right), Loudest EVER Street Max 1-2 Car in Australia (157.8db) finished the 2007 Season at #22 uncertified, #30 Certified, not bad for a car that only went to 2 sanctioned events and had to be trailered :P

Shit, I forgot to mention that due to the headunit you have, you will need to get 2 pairs of RCA Splitters, going from 1 female to 2 male plugs.

It means you won't be able to fade from front to back, but thats no biggie.

Also, get the 6x9 idea outta your head, you don't need them, put the money you'd spend into better quality speakers.

yeh i was just gonna get the R Type Component speaker package. thats got every thing i need. got them in my car at the moment and im very happy with them.

how do mean fade front to rear?

Fading gives you the ability to change the balance of the sound from front to back, but then being in a single cab, this isn't something that will be an issue for you.

ie: if you have commodore with splits up front, 6" coax in the back and you set the fade to 0, you get an even balance of sound, but, if you set it up with the fade on +2, the bulk of the sound will come from the front speakers.

Thats a pretty simple explanation of it, you tend to find most of us and more so the sound quality orientated people (like Woody) don't run rear speakers and just pour their money into the front speakers and a good quality installation.

Those that do run rear speakers as well as splits, heavily fade to the front, so that you pretty much don't hear the rears.

hah i knew that, had a brain fart. so works the same as balance left to right.
yeh single cab wouldnt matter
