I have the 07 stuff, its alright, from what i can see, it has better components than the ryde. mine has been upgraded quiet heavily. and i painted the rear rim purple because i was bored. lol looks good though. all i need now is an eastern pinner seat in purple and some dangerboy purple brake levers.

I say you get the Norco Ryde 08, my mate's got one and
1. It's really light unlike most Kona bikes are quite heavy.
2. It's more of a Dirt Jump Bike, but if you only do go dirt jumping then go single speed, the bike becomes like a feather it's awesome!
3. Plus it looks cooler with the orange handle bars and white spokes.

im with norco__manik on this one, kona frames r very heavy, the ryde frame is really good and resembles a trials frame, if your a trials rider u'd understand why, on the rear triangle there are no littl bars across it to shorten the length of the chain stay

Kona heavy no. Compaired to a norco manik there a feather weight. The kona stuffs arnt all that heavy. Back on subject id go with the kona.

ride em both mate, that's the best way to gauge, your lbs should be able to give you some pretty awesome impartial advice depending on what you wanna do, personally, i've had better experiences with kona, had a stuff a while back, but both are good bikes =)
you may find the ryde's a bit easier to find though,
don't be too afraid of weight if you're going into trials/dj, esp if you've never done it before, heavier bike will outlast all those gnarly crashes =)

Dont get either - if you can find one get an Eastern Traildigger, and upgrade the forks. My mates got one, and I have the Eastern Nighttrain. They go off, and if you want singlespeed, they already are. Plus they are light and manouverable. But if you only are choosing between those two, go for the Ryde, it's got a way better frame, and I reckon it feels better to ride
Hope that helps!
I personally would buy the Ryde. I have ridden one before and they are smooth as. As for the stuff, im not to sure but im not a big fan of that big bulky look.

the ryde is the same frame as the 250 same bars and stem so if you make it single speed its pritty much a 250 if you understand
i just recently purchased a 250 its on layby and now i cant sleep untill i have got it in my hands

Hey man, yeah go the Ryde. I owned one for about 6 months and just sold it. Solid and light bike, was so smooth when I had it single speeded. Love the look too. Shreads the DJ's and it's second home is the skate park.
Heres a picture of my old sexy beast too. They can really get pimped really nice. Kona suck too :(

I haven't ridden either of them but i do like the look of the Ryde. My suggestion is compare the specs for what you will be doing with it. BTW i wouldn't got to a Admin to change your name when you've got a new bike. They might E-kill you.
